Excellent little knife with a shorter and more user friendly profile. I previously purchased the full length SOCP dagger and was very pleased, but I wanted something more "tame" to EDC. But don't let the shortened profile fool you: this is a deadly simple and effective tool for EDC personal defense with multiple carry options from deep concealment to pocket carry to secure MOLLE/PALS mounting in just about any orientation you could want, all thanks to the brilliant sheathe design. The knife's design allows it to get out of the way when transitioning to sidearm. As always, you must train with any tools you use, but I found it was quite easy to establish a few different grip options and drawing patterns that allowed me to retain the knife while drawing a sidearm from holsters both on and off body. Bottom line: if you're looking for a serious and versatile fixed-blade EDC defense tool, the SOCP Mini is definitely worth a look.
